[dita] Getting started with DITA?

Dear CM Pro,

If you are interested in learning topic-based structured writing with DITA,
you might want to attend tonight's meeting of the Boston DITA Users Group in
Waltham.

We will demonstrate the beta version of the new DITA Users website ("DITA
from A to B").  http://www.ditausers.org.

Absolute beginners can edit DITA files and process them with the DITA Open
Toolkit running on the server and the new browser-based DITA editor called
DITA Storm (http://www.ditastorm.com).

Membership is free during the beta period. Each member gets a private
workspace folder with three sample DITA projects.

This hosted online toolset avoids all the hassle of installing the Open
Toolkit or anything else. The results (HTML and PDF) can be seen on the web
and downloaded.

We hope to work through some DITA examples from Comtech Services' Introduction
to DITA.  If you own this book, please bring it. If not, you can buy

and do the examples later..

We are still looking for a few good beta-testers to help us debug the DITA
Manager.

The meeting starts with light snacks and networking at 6:30PM.
The presentation starts at 7PM.
