Hi all,
If you only read one CMPAC email for the year, please make it this
one (especially about the conference at bottom).
Thank you to the 26 people who attended our panel on 'Structuring Web
Content' on Monday evening. This is a great start to the year. Photo
and short summary are included on ... http://
www.blackartofwebpublishing.com/CMPACmeetings
**********
For those of you in Sydney, remember we have a round-table discussion
on 'Choosing the right CMS' coming up. Details are ...
Time | Thursday, 1 March | 5.30pm to 7.30pm
Venue | Sydney Mechanics’ School of Arts – 280 Pitt Street (near
Bathurst Street), Sydney
The race is on the better 26 attendees, so please invite others
interested in content management and related issues. The moderator is
Australian CM luminary - James Robertson.
***********
Thank you for those who voted for me in the CM Pros Elections, voting
closes today, and as stated previously it is a long-shot. Either way,
we have lots to do in Australia this year. A perfect lead into
talking about our inaugural conference later in the year ...
CMPAC NOVEMBER CONFERENCE
We have posted a 'work-in-progress' event schedule at ... http://
www.blackartofwebpublishing.com/CMPACschedule
The conference will have some amazing Australian firsts (a little
marketing license here), including a Vendor panel discussing trends
and development roadmaps, a presentation on learnings from over 80
successful CM projects, a legal panel on issues specific to CM and
simply the idea of a full-day discussion on content management
related items in both Sydney and Melbourne. This schedule, the dates,
and the speakers are all indicative at this stage, however we want
your input to help with planning. A glossy mail-out will occur later
in the year.
What is missing? What looks good? Can you help? Will you attend?
At this stage, the delegate cost is likely to be around $150 (to
cover venue and catering) and the exhibitor/sponsor package is likely
to be around $1,500 (once again around cost to facilitate our keynote
speakers). In order to finalize planning, an idea on numbers will be
a great assistance. It will make the event much stronger if you could
all complete the Registration of Interest, located at ... http://
www.blackartofwebpublishing.com/CMPACregistration
And of course, if you could encourage your peers, network and
contacts to do the same.
You are welcome to discuss these topics and the conference openly on
the Australia list ... australia at lists.cmprofessionals.org (register
for the list at ... http://lists.cmsml.org/mailman/listinfo/australia )
Thank you and regards,
David Warwick
Co-Chair
