The Melbourne KMLF recently had an open panel on the topic of Social
Media Inside the Firewall (SMIF, see
http://www.melbournekmlf.org/?p=21). Content management and information
architecture were notably absent from the discussion. 

Q. Could there be a vision for wikis, blogs as easy to use CM
applications that connect intimately across the organisation’s
information architecture, perhaps using RSS to interfacing with
backend-applications, in order to to allow mash-ups and content reuse,
and content delivery to a variety of users across the organisation?
