Final Melbourne meeting for 2006 ‹ ŒProject Management Panel Session¹.
Bound to generate some heated debate and reveal the challenges that
organisation face in implementing their content management projects, we have
a highly experienced panel discussing project management issues, methods and
experiences. This is a CM Pros session not to miss, details of panelists
included below.

Panelists ...

Marissa Barry, SMS Management and Technology
Marissa is a highly qualified and experienced Prince2 practitioner at SMS,
Australia¹s largest publicly listed management services company. Marissa¹s
experience includes the project management of Sensis¹ implementation of
Fatwire CMS for City Search in 2005, coordinating a team of over 60 people.
Marissa provides a real-world perspective on large scale project
implementation and management.

Jed Simms, Capability Management
Jed has been a leading exponent of IT Governance for about 30 years. Jed is
the Managing Director and founder of Capability Management, a group which
for more than 10 years has developed IT focused programs, including IT
project governance, which have been implemented with great success by a
number of Australia's corporates. Prior to this, Jed was co-founder of the
regional operation of the Boston Consulting Group and head of their IT
strategy group.

Melanie Kendell, Emorphus
Melanie is the founding member of the Emorphus consultancy, in this role
Melanie helps organizations achieve a sustainable information management
solution. Melanie is a regular speaker on content management issues in
Australia, including sessions over several years at the Open Publish
conference and she has a keen interest in project management approaches.

Martin Hughes, Komodo CMS
Martin is Senior Projects Manager for Komodo CMS and has managed major IT
deployments since well before the emergence of the Internet and Content
Management Systems. Martin has overseen development practice review under
the Capability Maturity Management Integration (CMMI) model and led the
establishment of project and product process models for Komodo CMS and other
development teams.

Moderator

David Warwick
David is Director of Komodo CMS and the co-creator and product strategist
behind its successful Australian web content management system. David is
also Co-Chair of the Content Management Professionals Australia Community
(CMPAC) which includes more than 150 members and a councilor of the Design
Business Council. David has been a case writer on innovation for the
Melbourne Business School, a Judge for the Melbourne University
Entrepreneurs¹ Challenge and a regularly invited speaker on content
management, web design, search optimization and IT business management.
